Common Questions

Answers to questions we are frequently asked at the start of an engagement.

Who is the Retirement Readiness Legal Review intended for?
This service is designed for clients in the 50–60 age range who wish to enter retirement with their legal and financial arrangements clearly understood. It covers EPF planning, private pension schemes, beneficiary nominations, and any estate matters that intersect with those plans. Three consultation meetings are included.
What happens when a pension is suspended?
Pensions are sometimes suspended pending administrative review — this can arise from documentation gaps, disputed records, or procedural issues. Our pension suspension appeal service seeks early clarification of the grounds, prepares appropriate response submissions, and represents your interests through the appeal process. We keep you informed at each procedural milestone.
What schemes does the Multi-Scheme Coordination service cover?
The service covers EPF (Employees Provident Fund), KWAP (Kumpulan Wang Persaraan), private retirement schemes, and employer-based pension arrangements. If you hold entitlements across several of these, the service produces an integrated summary and identifies any conflicts, overlaps, or gaps that may affect your position.
How are fees structured?
Each service has a stated fee: MYR 700 for the Retirement Readiness Legal Review, MYR 1,080 for Pension Suspension Appeals, and MYR 1,460 for Multi-Scheme Pension Coordination. These figures are confirmed at the start of the engagement and do not change as the work progresses. Any additional scope would be discussed and agreed separately.
How long does a typical engagement take?
Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the matter and the responsiveness of third parties such as pension administrators. The Retirement Readiness Review typically concludes across three meetings over a few weeks. Appeals and coordination matters depend on administrative processes outside our direct control, but we keep clients informed throughout and do not allow matters to sit idle.
Is my information kept confidential?
All client information is handled with strict confidentiality. We do not share client details with third parties except where directly necessary for the conduct of your matter, and only with your knowledge. This is a fundamental part of how we operate.
